【理由の前置詞の概念】
理由の前置詞にはon account of, because of, owing to, due to,forがあります。意味は「～のために、～のせいで」となりますがそれぞれの利用シーンは異なってきます。まずon account ofはネガティブな意味を表しますがbecause ofはポジティブでもネガティブでもどちらの意味も表します。また owing toやdue toも理由の前置詞となり「～のために」「～のせいで」の意味を表しますがこれらは公的な文書などにもよく使われます。forについては前置詞だけでなく接続詞でも理由を意味する使われ方をしますので注意が必要です。
