【劣等の前置詞の概念】
劣等の前置詞にはbelow, under, beneathがあります。どれも下に位置する意味合いを持ちます。belowはより低い、より下のレベルというイメージですが単に低いという印象です。一方でunderも同様な意味合いを持ちますがこちらは真下といったイメージも持ちます。belowは単に上下関係であるけれどunderは直属の上司に支配されているといった意味合いまで持ちます。beneathも同様な意味合いですがこちらは形式的であるので会話ではあまり使われません。実際の例文で理解してみましょう。
